Dear Friends of Healing Music, Happy Spring!!!! It is a glorious season and I hope that you are all basking in the light. JAPAN TRIP I am just back from an amazing Japan Tour. Cherry Blossoms, Temples, Castles, Music Meditations, fabulous friends, fabulous food, fabulous fun!! Here are 2 photos from my Temple. We had fantastic photographers on the tour and I will send you some beautiful Japan photos from their collection once we have sorted through them all. MUSIC MEDITATIONS I have 2 short videos for you about my MUSIC MEDITATIONS. One is of me talking about the meditations and the other is my wonderful friend Andrea Adams talking about her experiences of these events.(Andrea has also been on the Japan Tour with me!!!) If you haven't had the opportunity to join us these are unique meditations - you can lie on the floor in a nest of mats/blankets or if you prefer there are chairs. The music allows you to sink deeply into a meditative state. The first is on APRIL 23, here in Toronto at Esther Myers Yoga Studio - our Toronto Music Meditation 'home'. This one is with bassist Chris Gartner. I hope that you can come and hear the magical atmospheres that Chris weaves - a beautiful landscape for my shakuhachi and voice. Next is in Ottawa, MAY 14 at Kalayana, another wonderful 'home' to play at. I'll be playing with Mark Daniel and his incredible array of Tibetan bowls, Crystal bowls and gongs. It is always a magical time playing with Mark! Back in Toronto for a MAY 21 meditation at Esther Myers. This time with Andrea Gerhardt and her beautiful interpretations of the Songs of Hildegard. I am really looking forward to playing again with Andrea!
